About the event

Wilma & Friends return to present three discoveries - unsung masterpieces!

This absolutely ravishing program is for the musical adventurers because at first glance it might look a little outside the comfort zone. But fear not, Viennese Anton Webern, American Amy Beach and Russian Nikolai Meitner have produced stunningly beautiful Romantic works. If you thought you knew Webern by his modernist 2nd Viennese School output this little gem will surprise and delight. Beach and Medtner's piano quintets are absolute winners, almost too much luxuriousness for one program but let's go for it!

Anton Webern - Langsamer Satz for String Quartet

Amy Beach - Piano Quintet in F# minor, Op. 67

Nikolai Medtner - Piano Quintet in C major, Op. posth.

Stefan Cassomenos, piano
