About the event

Bronzewing weaves old and new together in a spectacular, raucous combination. Katie and Donald are two of Australia's foremost period musicians and they catapult their ancient instruments into modern sound worlds. Exploring co-composition, they draw on diverse influences; from medieval and baroque greats Hildegard von Bingen and J.S. Bach, to 70s electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre. "Truly exceptional... seamlessly transitioning from baroque improvisation to '80s synth pop and back again, with joyous flybys of experimental sound, head banging metal, and a baroque viola put through a wall of effects pedals." - Miranda Hill, classikON.
